May 2026 Market Update
A quick real estate update this week: May 2026. Nationally, existing home sales saw a slight increase in April as inventory continues to slowly grow. Mortgage rates are still impacting affordability, but buyers are adjusting and homes that are priced and presented well are still moving.
Here in Connecticut, we’re continuing to feel our own version of the market. Inventory is still tight in many towns throughout Fairfield and Litchfield County, and well-prepared homes are continuing to see strong activity and multiple offers. Buyers are becoming more selective, but serious demand is still there.
